During this foundational session, our guest speaker Ms. Dylas ( member of Leesburg Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. ) introduced TLC members to basic table setup, including proper placement of plates, napkins, forks, knives, spoons, and glasses. They learned the importance of posture, polite conversation, eye contact, and how to confidently engage in respectful dialogue during a meal. The girls also practiced essential etiquette skills such as when to begin eating, how to properly use utensils (from the outside in), how to excuse themselves from the table, and the importance of gratitude toward hosts and servers.
This lesson was more than just learning which fork to use — it was about building confidence, self-awareness, and grace in social settings. Each upcoming session will continue to refine their skills as they prepare to shine with poise and confidence at the Blossoming Bond Spring Tea. 🌷✨

Her heart for kids, calm presence, and commitment to doing what is best for students make a lasting impact on our campus. We are so grateful for all that you do! 💙🐻
