🌿 Mindful Mondays at Treadway! 🌿 From the Desk of the School Mental Health Liaison May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and at Treadway, we're focusing our Mondays on Mindfulness! Each Monday, students will take part in simple, calming mindfulness activities to help them start the week with a clear and focused mind. What is mindfulness? Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present in the moment—aware of where we are and what we’re doing, without being overly reactive or overwhelmed. Even just a few minutes a day can help children and adults reduce stress, improve concentration, and feel more emotionally balanced. Why it matters for families: Sharing mindful moments helps kids and parents connect, manage emotions, and create a peaceful routine in an often busy world. ✨ Here are 3 ways Treadway families are engaging in mindfulness this month: 🧘‍♀️ Mindful Breathing – Practicing slow, deep breaths together to calm the body and mind. 📔 Gratitude Journaling – Writing or drawing one thing you're grateful for each day. 🌼 Mindful Nature Walks – Taking a slow walk while noticing sounds, colors, and sensations in the environment. 💡 As your School Mental Health Liaison, I’ll be sharing a suggested activity each Monday right here in our Facebook group. These ideas are quick, family-friendly, and perfect for starting the week with intention and calm. SNEAK PEAK! Winnie the Pooh Kids is only a week away! Join Pooh and all our other animal friends on May 1st and 2nd at 6pm to experience the adventures in the 100 Acre Wood. 📦 Time to Turn Them In! Chromebook Collection is Coming! The end of the school year is right around the corner, and it’s time to get those Chromebooks ready for return. Here’s what you need to know to make the process quick and smooth: ✅ What to Do Before You Turn In Your Device Remove all stickers and decorations ➤ Don’t forget to clean off any sticky residue! ➤ A safe way to clean: use a slightly damp cloth (water only) — no chemicals or sprays! ➤ Check that your device is fully charged (100%) ➤ Turn in your charger ➤ Must include both parts: the brick and the cable! ➤ Report damage early ➤ If your device isn’t working or is damaged, turn it in now — don’t wait for collection day! ➤ Ask questions? ➤ See your school’s Media Specialist for help.
