We are thrilled to welcome Julie Lively to the Treadway Elementary family! Holding a Master’s in Educational Leadership from UWF and bringing 12 years of local teaching experience from Tavares Middle School, Julie is excited to work with our "tiny humans" to help them discover a lifelong love for learning. Outside of school, she enjoys reading mystery novels, gardening, soaking up the sun, and spending time with her teacher husband, eight children, and a goofy golden retriever named Arlo.

Tready Bear families, PM1 testing begins this week! These assessments will help us establish a baseline for each student and provide valuable information to guide instruction and support their learning throughout the school year.
You can help set your child up for success by making sure they:
😴 Get a good night’s sleep
🥣 Eat a good breakfast
⏰ Arrive at school on time and ready to do their best

Today's staff member is Mrs. Shelby Johnson. Mrs. Johnson serves Treadway as a 5th grade ELA Teacher. We are blessed to have you at Treadway Mrs. Johnson.
Please give a warm Tready Bear welcome to Mrs. Shelby Johnson, an accomplished educator with background in Elementary/ESE and Educational Leadership who is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership! Bringing teaching experience across both elementary and middle school levels, Mrs. Johnson fully embraces Treadway's "Whatever It Takes" mindset to ensure every student feels supported, challenged, and valued. Outside of school, she loves traveling and visiting Disney with her family—and as a proud mother of three students attending Treadway this year, she is thrilled to join our community as both a teacher and a parent!

The Florida Department of Education and Volunteer Florida invite all K-12 Florida students to participate in the 2026 Hispanic Heritage Month contests. We are so excited to welcome local native Spencer Hey to the Treadway Elementary family! Bringing 15 years of rich experience from Leesburg High School—spanning roles from math teacher and coach to Athletic Director—Spencer holds a master's in Educational Leadership and is eager to help shape our young Tready Bears into motivated scholars. Outside of school, Spencer loves staying active, cheering on the Gators and Pats, coaching his 6-year-old son Parker’s T-ball team, and hanging out with his dog, Honey.

An Orlando native with a degree in Human Services from Wilkes Community College, Mary Ellen loves the exciting daily variety of supporting our office operations and connecting with students during morning, lunch, and afternoon duties. Outside of school, she is a self-proclaimed foodie who enjoys historical fiction, traveling, teaching church youth, and spending time with sweet fur babies Lilly and Nala—join us in giving her a warm Tready Bear welcome!

Small Group Focus: Teachers meeting students right where they are to give them exactly what they need—whether that’s a boost or a push forward.

Deconstructing standards to get laser-focused on what student mastery really looks like.
Digging into CFA data with open minds, looking at what worked, where kids got stuck, and how to adjust.

Please join us in welcoming Lake County native and Eustis High graduate Mrs. Jenna Drake back to the Treadway Elementary family! Having previously interned at Treadway while earning her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from UCF—where she is currently pursuing her Master’s—Mrs. Drake is passionate about delivering high-quality instruction to our young scholars. Outside of the classroom, she loves spending time with her husband, Steven, and their Doxiepoo, Bentley.
