There is an upcoming behavior training offered by CARD titled "Behavior Basics: In-Person Training for Parents and Families of Students with Disabilities," scheduled for 10/29. This presentation will cover the functions of behavior and strategies using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to reduce problem behaviors. The training will cover how to understand behavior and ways to handle problems like avoiding tasks, seeking attention, trouble communicating, and sensory sensitivities. However, children are more at risk when approaching or leaving a school bus. It’s important for all drivers, as well as parents and students, to understand school bus safety. That's the focus of National School Bus Safety Week, an active and evolving public education program urging parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and other interested parties to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety.

This is an important time known as FTE Week, when our school’s enrollment is officially counted.
